We’re working hard to ensure the sustainable management of energy and water while focusing on the reduction of our greenhouse gases that contribute to climate change.

At a group level, Wilmar International have committed to a Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), aligning with the 1.5 degrees pathway. Within Sugar Australia, we have set the target to become carbon neutral by 2050, ensuring we are protecting the goodness of our planet for future generations.

So far, our journey has seen us achieve a 32% reduction in energy intensity and a 45% reduction in water usage between 2005 and 2020 at our Yarraville site.
