Sugar Australia is very proud of our teams across sites for their recent success in the unannounced BRCGS and AIB International, Inc audits.

Yarraville Refinery and Glebe Packing Plant both retained an AA Rating for BRCGS, following strong AIB International results for Glebe and Mackay Port.

“Our commitment to these global standards underpins our promise to deliver the best quality product for our customers, while upholding the highest standards of safety and operational excellence,” says Sugar Australia GM Operations, Damian Carden.

“Congratulations to Scott Donelly and the Glebe Team, Ken shuttlewood and the Mackay Port Team, and Jason Hill and the Yarraville Team. A special thanks to Evan Laminero, Madhu Ramasanjeevaiah, Peter Whitmore, Elis Elis and Kristine Kerr for their ongoing commitment to quality.”

BRCGS (Brand Reputation through Compliance Global Standards, formerly known as British Retail Consortium) is a highly rigorous certification focused on processes and documentation, setting a global benchmark which provides customers with confidence in product safety and quality.

AIB International (formerly known as the American Institute for Baking) standards are used by food safety professionals as a guide for good manufacturing practices.
